Batter Up!

It's baseball excitement folks. First, my family and I took in a Louisville Bats game last night. For my money, minor league baseball is the flavor of choice. We have great seats along the third base line. A couple of foul balls came in our section with one landing just a few seats away. When Buddy Bat shot souvenier t-shirts into the crowd I snagged one. Actually, it was a line shot right at me which I cradeled in my arms next to my chest. That's the first freebie I ever caught in four years of attending games at Louisville Slugger Field. It was a fun little bonus. Best of all, Bats win in ten.

Up the river in Cincinnatti, Ken Griffey Jr. did not get his 500th home run last night. The good news, Reds win in extra innings. I have not checked the scores but I think the Cubs lost to Houston last night.
